All About Apollo 18 Movie

Apollo 18 is a 2011 American science-fiction horror film directed by Gonzalo López-Gallego, and produced by Timur Bekmambetov. The film is a prerequisite is that the Apollo 18 mission was canceled officially actually started in December 1974, but never again, and as a result of the United States never launched another expedition to the moon. The film is shot in a mockumentary style, found footage, supposedly of the lost recordings of the Apollo 18 mission, which was discovered only recently. Plot

In December 1974, the Department of Defense contacts the occupation of the previously canceled Apollo 18 mission to inform, that the mission is a go, although it has been kept strictly secret. Nathan Walker, commander, Lieutenant Colonel John Grey and Captain Benjamin Anderson have started on the moon, supposedly to collect moon rocks, but given her mission is to place detectors in order to make the United States from an ICBM attack coming from the USSR attention.


Gray will remain in orbit aboard Freedom as Walker and Anderson landed on the moon in the lunar module Liberty. While planting one of the detectors, which take two samples of strange rocks. Anderson suggested that the true intent of the ICBM warning devices, the aliens win. Walker has shown signs of developing infections, such as its wound grows and turns, and he becomes increasingly paranoid. The mission of cameras capture the rock samples to move the interior of the Liberty, the aliens reveal themselves to be on the rocks. Increasingly delusional, Walker attempted to destroy the cameras within the Liberty, but accidentally damaged, the system controls what freedom to pressure. Recognized the Soviet LK is their only source of oxygen, the two trips to the LK lunar lander in their car. Along the way, Walker tried to run away, he does not believe would leave the moon and risk spreading the infection to Earth. Anderson collapsed when he tried to stop Walker.

Before Walker can be the vehicle to prevent it, he is consumed by the creatures.

Anderson brings the LK lander successfully, but Houston informed Grey, Anderson is infected. Gray Anderson is ordered to cancel or save the communication will no longer be, so they both do not return in a position to Earth. To float inside the lander, the causes of the reduced gravity, revealing the tiny rock samples were also taken cosmonauts. Anderson is attacked and infected by the creatures, prevented him from the vehicle, causing it to collide with freedom.

Production

The film in Vancouver, British Columbia and stars actor Lloyd Owen and Warren Christie.However was shot, as it has "found footage" film, which revealed no actors. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Dimension Films head Bob Weinstein denied the film was a work of fiction, stating that "We do not want to shoot anything, we found it. Found, baby!" The film will be distributed by Dimension Films .

The Science & Entertainment Exchange offered a scientific consulting to the film production is team.This because NASA, which usually serves as a scientific adviser to the science-fiction films, refused to do so for this film. NASA spokesman Bert Ulrich stated explicitly that the movie was fiction and called it a "Blair Witch Project to generate hype strategy," notes that NASA is not even seen a rough cut.
